Water Reticulation

  • Excavation by labour-intensive methods in all materials for trenches, backfill, compact, and dispose of surplus material for;
  • Supply, handle, lay, joint, bed, test, and disinfect pipes complete with spigot and socket joints: (63mm dia uPVC Class 9, 75mm dia uPVC Class 9, 90mm dia uPVC Class 9);
  • Supply, lay, and bed Class 16 RSV socket ended, clockwise closing gate valves to SABS 664 with non-rising spindles, including all fittings enclosed in a round box valve chamber. (63mm, 75mm & 90mm)

ERF Connections

  • Supply, handle, lay, bed, test, disinfect, and join the pipe system HDPE class 10 pipes complete with approved stand taps, water flow meters, fittings, and accessories; this includes excavation, bedding, and backfilling.

Storage 150 KL Elevated steel tank

Prestressed Steel Tanks

Supply and install prestressed steel tanks as follows:

  • Supply and erect 150 KL hot-dipped galvanised pressed steel tank on 9m stand, complete with roof decking, manhole with lock, roof ventilators, internal and external ladder, flanged 100mm diameter outlet, and 100mm diameter base plates and bolts, overflow pipes, and 100mm diameter inlet connections, flanges to accommodate level control valve, and 12m high galvanised steel tank stand on a steel platform.
  • Supply, handle, lay, joint, weld, bed, test, disinfect, and join Steel Pipes Grade B with a galvanised coating for corrosion protection (4.5mm thickness), including all flanges and bolts.
  • All pipework is to be class PN16, flanged to SANS 1123, for inlet, outlet, overflow, and scour, as detailed on the drawings.

LEVEL CONTROL VALVE
Supply, join, and test 100mm diam. Model 353-80, inlet chamber. Bermad level control valve with altitude pilot complete with pressure sustaining normally closed with type F large control filter and V-port throttling plug, PN16. or similar approved

LEVEL INDICATOR
Supply, manufacture, and install complete the level indicator per manufacturer details.

Refurbishment of existing pipeline

  • Repair the existing reticulation network and fittings due to pipe bursts during pressure testing and damage caused by unauthorised connections, including exposing the pipe, removing damaged pipe, compact bedding, backfilling, supply, handle, lay joint, bed, testing, and disinfecting pipes complete with spigot and socket joints.
  • New connections on existing reticulation. Including exposing the pipe, backfilling, supply, handle, lay, joint, bed, test, and disinfecting pipes completely with spigot and socket joints.

Refurbishment of 600 KL Existing Reservoirs 1 & 2

  • Removing existing waterproofing from wall joints and grinding off epoxy/binder 300mm wide strip;
  • Removing existing waterproofing from floor joints and grinding off epoxy/binder 300mm wide strip;
  • Supply all materials, equipment, and pressure washing to remove existing waterproofing on the wall surface (Internal and external). Pressure washer to discharge at a minimum of 140 bar;
  • Supply all materials, equipment, and pressure wash to remove existing waterproofing on the floor slab — pressure washer to discharge at minimum 14 bar;
  • Wall surface preparation (Internal and External) for concrete sealing application;
  • Floor slab surface preparation for concrete sealing application;
  • Supply and Install a 250 mm wide bitumen emulsion bandage system (Provisional);
  • Supply and install a 260 mm wide x 2 mm thick Sikadur Combiflex bandage system or similar approved.
